On this: "Christian children should be absolutely the most tolerate, the most accepting, and the most forgiving of any child if they have Jesus in their hearts." Yes. Who needs that forgiveness most of all? Lucy. And Rudolph's father. <br /><br />"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven ... If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." --Matthew 5:43-48<br /><br />Both Lucy and Rudolph's dad come to repentance in the end, though it is expressed grudgingly. Lucy: "Charlie Brown is a blockhead, but he did get a nice tree." Then she joins the others singing around it. Rudolph's father admits something like "maybe I was a little hard on Rudolph".
